ABOUT THE EVENT
Say shell-o to some radical reptiles during World Turtle Day at the OKC Zoo. Head to the Wetland’s Walkway to learn more about the turtle species that call the Zoo home with caretaker chats, a Turtle Eye Spy game, and a radio telemetry activity for finding turtles.
The Oklahoma Zoological Society is celebrating fifty fun years of Max, the Galapagos tortoise, who came to live at the Zoo half a century ago. Those who make a $50 donation to conservation will be entered into a drawing for a four pack of tickets to a Galapagos tortoise Wild Encounter worth $200. On Saturday, Zoo guests will receive a free water bottle courtesy of Shape Your Future, a program of TSET, while supplies last.
Water bottles will be given away beginning at 9 a.m. as guests enter the park. World Turtle Day activities are free with regular admission.
