ABOUT USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex and Museum

Established in 1957, the ASA National Softball Hall of Fame and Museum is a permanent shrine to the former players of the sport who had exceptional careers and recognizing others in one of five categories for their significant achievements. The Hall of Fame Building also houses the headquarters of the Amateur Softball Association, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, encompassing more than 18,000 square feet of space since its dedication May 23, 1976. A visit to the National Softball Hall of Fame is an educational experience and a walk through history as you learn why softball is one of the most popular team sports in the United States and why it was an Olympic sport. The first floor highlights the colorful history of softball on story boards and panels with cases filled with memorabilia of past Hall of Famers. There’s an Olympic Gallery on the first floor where visitors can view memorabilia and videos since softball made its Olympic debut in 1996, plus individual and team photos of USA Olympic teams. Recently renovated, the lower level of the Hall of Fame includes new, colorful, dynamic displays highlighting the NCAA Women’s College World Series, the Big 12 Conference, the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award, a timeline of the history of the Amateur Softball Association and computers where visitors can look up the members of local association Halls of Fame, the Medals and Elite Umpire programs and ASA national champions.
